A four year old cat, Charlie, belonging to Jack Van Slooten Friday was rescued at an apartment fire at 2047 Rockcreek Drive. Several of the eight apartments were heavily damaged by fire and the others we damaged by smoke and water. At least one resident, Van Slooten, was forced to jump from the second floor to escape the flames. Along with the cat, the firefighters rescued a dog. No injuries were reported. "RESCUED" "RESCUED"
