Bowling Green firefighters and members of the Bowling Green/Warren County Rescue Squad rescued two stranded fishermen whose boat was struck in the rapids of the Barren River Monday. During the nearly two-hour rescue, a BGFD firefighter was injured when he careened through the rapids after becoming stuck trying to get personal floatation devices to the stranded subjects.
